The Triconex 4200 is a primary remote extender module designed for extending the I/O bus interface between the main chassis and remote expansion chassis in Tricon v10 safety-critical systems. The module operates using multi-mode fiber optic links running at a communication rate of 375 Kbaud to provide galvanic and ground loop isolation between system chassis. Interfacing via unidirectional transmit and receive cabling ports, the 4200 maintains triple modular redundant (TMR) system architecture while serving as a Class 1E to non-1E isolator between safety-related main chassis and non-safety expansion units.
